Development of newsletter enhancements

We have an e-commerce website which currently sends emails to all customers (who have signed up) on demand.

1. We want to be able to target which customers receive the emails based on their past purchases. Targetting will be done by product category
2. We also need to separate the mailing list table from the customer table
3. We want to track the responses from the newsletter by appending a newsletter id to each link in the newsletter (this development is only to send the newsletters we'll track it ourselves)
4. Re-design the newsletter maintenance page so that it uses the Yahoo yui library
5. Improve the performance so that there are no timeouts when processing large numbers of emails (the approach for this needs to be agreed)

The website is based on the oscommerce software but it has been significantly re-designed and re-written.

Development is to use php, mysql, javascript (and possibly c++) any development should adhere to the design standards and tools which are being used for the re-designed site. More details will be provided

There will be a significant amount of future work to be done on this site.
